This is a fan site for the fictional characters Eric Northman and Sookie Stackhouse. Eric is a Viking era vampire who runs a mainstream bar in modern Louisiana called Fangtasia. Like many of his vampire brethren, he has come out of the coffin now that synthetic blood has been perfected (True Blood), and made his existence known to all humankind. He is also the vampire Sheriff of area nine. Sookie Stackhouse is a telepathic barmaid who Eric meets through his subordinate, Bill Compton. Eric is fascinated and enthralled by Sookie despite the fact that she and Bill are an item. Sookie finds Eric to be an enigma… seemingly cold hearted yet oddly compelling. When a bout of amnesia brings them together the romance between the two steams up and runs full throttle.

These characters are the creation of Charlaine Harris, a very talented author who wrote the Sookie Stackhouse series… also called the Southern Vampire books, and the True Blood books. After half a dozen books, Harris sold the rights to HBO for a television series. Season One and Season Two have now aired. Season Three of True Blood is airing now.

Of all the characters in the books and series my two favorite are Eric and Sookie respectively. In the books they have a steamy romance that begins in book #4. In the series we have been treated to some twists not in the books but a romance has not blossomed between them yet but the sexual tension can be cut with a knife…
