Eric and Sookie Appear on the Cover of Book 10!
The cover for the tenth book in the Sookie Stackhouse series has been released. The actual book does not come out until May 4, 2010 but you can it on Amazon.com now.
The book is titled Dead in the Family and some Eric fans have been a bit anxious about the release. Why? Well, in book nine Eric and Sookie finally hit their stride as a couple. Their love affair begins anew and Eric even asks Sookie to move into his home… something he has never before asked anyone to do. BUT Bill Compton also played a large role in the book and it appeared Sookie’s anger toward him was softening. Bill played a large role in saving her life from the faery folk who were intent on killing her. Bill ended up near death at the end of the book and Sookie’s grandfather mentioned to Sookie that the vampire is not a bad man. Sookie has no idea who he was talking about.. Eric or Bill. This left fans to wonder if Charlaine Harris wasn’t trying to re-open the door for Sookie and Bill. I for one would NOT be happy!
I am encouraged though to see Eric and Sookie on the book cover for Dead in the Family. They are smiling and floating next to a long stem rose, so that could bode well for them right?? Here is too hoping.. come fast May!

I just can’t wait to finish the 5th book i have, haha. kinda disapointed. I rushed myself buying it beczuse the book 4 kept me hanging. 
I love the cover!! The rose stems intertwined normally symbolize marriage, and here we see Sookie and Eric floating toward that pair of red intertwined roses. I can only hope that the door to a ‘romantic relationship’ with Bill stays SHUT!
I don’t know if this is the place to ask, but how many books in Sookie Stackhouse series are there gonna be in total?
the cover is so lovely…i guess there is a message between the line….
a rose with some thorns and two steams….problems, many i guess, but they want to reach each others seems lokking at the covers so i guess in the end they will fnd a way to respect their differences..maybe not in that book maybe in the very end….
