Eric and Sookie Kiss!!

It is about damn time!! We had to wait until season 3, episode 10, before we got a real kiss between the two.
And then… they had to go and screw with the Eric/Sookie shippers AGAIN.
The episode was a dream up until the end. Eric found Sookie and Bill hiding out at Jason’s and he confronted Bill about his lying ass and Sookie overheard part of it. Bill was already losing luster in her eyes after she found out she was a fairy and that her blood was like a drug to vampires. Now she rightfully questions if Bill ever really loved her. THEN what she heard Eric say plants more seeds of doubt. Sookie demands to know why she should trust Eric and he tells her something no other vampire has.. “You do whatever you want to do”. She looks shocked and then he follows that up saying he won’t be around much longer and that he wishes her well. We saw a truly selfless Eric in that scene and one who actually DOES care about Sookie.
Later Sookie dreams about Eric and he (via her subconscious) tells her that she has feelings for him, despite the blood bond and that blood bond or no she knows she can’t trust Bill. Following her intuition she visits Eric at Fangtasia and confronts him about Bill. Instead of telling her, he kisses her and she is happy to return that kiss in this delightful scene:
As you can see, he is adamant that Sookie not be used in a plot to save himself from King Russell. BUT Pam begs and invokes Godric’s name and you see his mind change right there. He can’t do to Pam what Godric did to him. Pam basically said he was choosing Sookie over her and this hits him like a tons of bricks. He then decides to use her in some way and chains her up in the basement.
I understand it but I don’t like it. I just hope he has a plan and if AB is making him go this dark I can only hope he will have Eric be the redeemer in the end. I also have to remember that Eric truly doesn’t believe Sookie cares for him at all.. he said as much in the bar.. aka you are just here about Bill. So when it comes down to it how can he choose Sookie over Pam? Sacrificing himself and breaking Pam’s heart for the person who claims she would rather have cancer than be friendly with him? Yeah logically it wouldn’t happen. But either he has a plan so she will be okay in the end or he will see what he has done and be so guilt ridden he has to make things right. I hope, I hope.
What I fear is that they will keep Eric as the villain and make Sookie hate him all the more so that when season 4 rolls around and she falls for amnesia Eric it will be 1) only the stark contrast that appeals to her and 2) it will be easy to have her go back to Bill because after all she never had a relationship with the “real” Eric and when he gets his memory back the man she liked is gone. I will be soooo pisssed if it goes that way and would likely quit watching after season 4.
One thing is for sure.. this season has been a roller coaster for me. If it ends on a good note and Eric is not made out to be the big bad villain and he does get to save the day…. then it will all be worth it. Will I get what I am hoping for? We shall see.

This episode and season are based on Book 3 in the Sookie Stackhouse series:

I was a little disappointed with their kiss to be honest.. but glad it happened.

I hope the finale has bill feeding sookie, then she runs and saves eric, russell gets fried up in the sun, sookiemtells eric she loves him, tells bill hes a liar and a cheat, and whacks pam. Then off they go into the night never to be seen again, 2 loved up heroes, i wish……………
I’m back for my 2nd post lol
listening to it just saves me a lot of time right now.
Season 4 better make Sookie really forget about Bill or in this season’s last episode.
I’ve read well listened to book 1-4 and I’m currently listening to book 5 ^^ but I will get all the books don’t worry
I love Eric and Sookie more now
I saw the picture of Russell and Eric feeding of Sookie >_<
can't wait for tonight.
Hi from Germany,
we don´t have the show here in Germany (not yet) but I´ve got a friend who has it and so I´ve just seen the last episode and this kiss. I wanted to see it again, and Google send me here. It´s nice to see that there are others who are interested in the storyline between Eric and Sookie.
Most of you don´t seem to like Bill. I haven´t read the books, so maybe you know more about it – as far as I know, he is a nice guy with a little blood-drinking problem. And I´ve no idea if Eric has a point in telling Sookie not to trust him.
So, just wanted to say hi (a little envious, because you will see sooner how it all turns out
Kay
Hi, first time here, think I’ll be sticking around. It’s nice to be amongst other Eric Teamsters;)
First off, I definitely think that Eric’s plan is just to use Sookie in some way to get Russell’s guard down so he can be killed. Eric knows that if he dies, no one will be there to protect Sookie from Russell, so as “evil” as he may be appearing to be right now, it’s all in defense of those he cares about (himself being first on that list, lmao).
Second, I’ve paused the preview several times and it’s ERIC feeding off of Sookie, not Russell. Which makes sense when you consider we see, for a brief second, Eric walking outside during the day with a little smoke rolling off of him.
Third, the scene where Russell stops the car Sookie and Bill are in, Eric is standing in the road next to Russell. So he’s playing double agent again, obviously to take Russell out at some point.
The way the story writing in this show has gone, Russell is the “Big Bad” this season, and we WILL see him defeated in either this episode or in the finale. I’m thinking the finale, which means that tomorrow night’s episode is going to be another one of those eps where we all want to pull our hair out when it’s over, haha.
Rest assured, Eric will be redeemed at some point. Eventually Sookie will know why he’s doing what he’s doing….it may not be this season, though, and that scares me a little. I can’t imagine trying to make it all the way to next season wondering if she’ll ever come to her senses about how superior Eric is to Bill.
Fourth…..why can’t Bill just die already? Seriously, I’m sick of his stupid attitude and his lying and just….everything. The Bill in the books wasn’t even this annoying, and he was a b*stard!
Whoa, nevermind, I just saw the picture of Russell feeding from her wrist while Eric goes for her neck. Lol, hadn’t seen that yet….now I’m doubly intrigued about just what Mr. Northman has in store for Russell….and I can’t frickin’ wait!!
It’s my first time posting here, hello fellow Eric and Sookie fans! I apologize in advance because I’m about to post a novel lol.
It is obvious that Eric cares for Sookie, but he knows he can’t defeat Russell without using her blood. It’s inevitable. In a way his actions are brutal (humiliating Sookie by chaining her at the neck, using her as bait) but Eric is all about the bigger picture. If he can tempt Russell to drink her blood (awful as it sounds) he can try to outwit him, because as far as we know Russell doesn’t know that she is Fae or her blood can momentarily make a vampire walk in the sun. Russell will be ultimately weakened if brought out into the sun, we saw how quickly Godric diminished. Eric wants to weaken Russell enough to be able to overpower him. Once he’s weakened physically I think Eric, Pam and Sookie will begin to wear him down mentally to the point where he wants to die. Perhaps they will offer the idea of being reunited with his beloved Talbot.
We saw how Eric refused to give Sookie to Russell, it’s clear he cares for her very deeply but Pam gave him the push towards action. She reminded him what was at stake if he met the true death. Eric isn’t the type to just give up, die and leave his loved ones at the mercy of an enemy. That’s something I’d expect from Bill, a weaker mind. Eric is strong and an excellent strategist, he wouldn’t put Sookie in the line of fire (Russell) or near death (drinking her blood) if he didn’t have a plan to ultimately keep her safe. Now, Sookie might not forgive him for using her but at least she is alive. I think that’s all Eric cares about in the end. I was really upset when Eric dropped Sookie on the ground and chained her up but then I thought about his motivations for doing that. If Russell is truly to believe that Eric has zero feelings for her and can trust him enough to walk in the sun then it has to look brutal and cold. Chaining her up shows a lack of humanity, a dog under the control of its master. Isn’t that how Russell views humans? A race that is inferior to vampires. Eric is good at playing the part, I just wonder if once again Russell will buy it. You’d think after Eric manipulated him and Talbot that he would just kill him rather then take his word regarding Sookie’s blood.
So yes, Eric’s methods are somewhat cruel but this is an 1000 year old *Viking* vampire were talking about. It’s how he was raised and why he’s lasted this long. Sookie is probably going to kick both Bill and Eric to the curb but I’m hoping the last scene in the finale will be our hot, naked Viking running towards her house
You and I are definitely thinking along the same lines:)
So many people make comments about how evil Eric is and I really wish they would learn to read between the lines:)
The only people who think Eric is evil are people that are being willfully ignorant.
We saw a truly selfless Eric in that scene and one who actually DOES care about Sookie….
I dissagree. We see an Eric that wants to speak alone to Sookie and knew she will come to him if he says he’ll be gone. Her third dream was planned by Eric.
There is no reason to conclude that Eric manipulates her dreams. When he told her (while she was wide awake) that he would be gone.. she was shaken and the dream reinforced that and the trust issue. Sookie is nothing if not curious.. she wanted to know if he meant he would be dead and she didn’t like that idea at all.
Forgot to add that the real kiss was hot-:))))) While it lasted.
I’m hoping the season will end with Sookie finding Eric on the road and he won’t know who he is but that’s just wishful thinking on my part because we havent seen any of the Sookie/Eric book moments play out other than the bullet scene and the dreams. I know the tv show is different and I’m trying to be optimistic about how Ab is gonna spin it but it’s tough. Agree with the above that as soon as we get an Eric moment a step back is taken that makes him look bad.I’m hoping next ep that he explains to her his plan or that Pam will tell her at least. I like both Bill and Eric maybe more of an Eric shipper but with all due respect to SM who’s a great actor I can’t take another season of him being the hero and Sookie running back to him. I’ve read it before about Yvetta being involved with the witches but her not getting anything out of the will seems like some foreshadowing to me what do u guys think?
I think having Yvetta be Hallow or close to her would be AWESOME. It would make perfect sense.
Heya…
I think all this is the genius of AB. To have us all tricked into believing Eric is/ will be the villain. Of course he’s going to give Sookie to RE, but only as part of his plan to kill him (as he’s already dead so the proper words would be make RE meet true death I believe) AND he believes he’s got a chance of saving her as well. Remember Pam said Russel’s goig to get to her anyway. So Eric thinks he’s no good to her if he’s dead… As for how AB is going to end the season… I’m expecting some huge cliffhanger. Huge enough to fry our brains for the next 8 months or so… I love this show. It’s going to drive me nuts
I thought Alan Ball made it clear Eric was resigned to dying at Russell’s hands before he kissed Sookie and talked to Pam (e.g. will making & telling Sookie good bye.)
Pam was right. She brought to Eric’s attention that his preparations weren’t really helpful to the people he cares about (i.e. Pam & Sookie) Inheriting his property wasn’t going to make up the pain of losing Eric to Pam. That’s why she brought up Godric so Eric could realize how much pain he was going to cause Pam if he didn’t save himself. And then Pam pointed out to Eric that his dying wasn’t going to help Sookie bc as Pam said Russell was going to get Sookie no matter what unless Eric came up with a plan.
Eric was focusing on his own feelings of what he wanted before dying and Pam forced Eric to think beyond his own unhappiness at facing true death to what his death would do to others (Pam & Sookie) and made him realize he was being selfish in not fighting harder & it was up to him to come up with a plan to save Sookie if he cared about her because no one else who cares about Sookie would stand a chance ag. Russell.
LOVE the way you think Massena and it does make perfect sense.
woo hoo love it!!!!
Yeah, I’m with you on this – that sounds like the most logical explanation of that last part of the episode.
Exactly…Eric giving up would be the selfish thing, not using Sookie and fighting back. YEs, it will piss Sookie off, but if it saves her and Pam to him its worth it…him dying WITHOUT killing Russell will do no good. If he must die, he has to do it taking Russell down, like the true brave warrior Eric is.
Oh i do hope they make this ok. I think that it would be really weird if Eric turned around and sacraficed Sookie after being so adamantly against it (and trying to protect her from Bill). But then again AB is lame so who knows.
I do think Erics actions are all part of a bigger picture though.
Very lame, but I am still holding out hope.
Oh i do hope they make this ok.
pam just fucks it up, because mister asshat cant walk into the series, and say ‘wait just a fucking secound. i know eric is hot and hes right for her, but ii believe that the first love is the truth love, and so should yall. dontyou agree?’ the correct answare here would be FUCKING NO, of course
I agree.. I think AB is a teenage girl with his soul mates and first love ideas.
Why do you even watch this show if you obviously hate the creator of it? Read your books and be happy. Done. Less time wasted.
I’am a huge fan of the book’s and the t.v. show. And I have to say I agree with about Eric, he is a selfish character in the book’s and in the t.v. series. But there is no denying that he does care for Sookie he his conflicted once Pam intervenes. I hope the plot turns so there is some way for Eric to redeem himself, if they make it so Sookie falls for amnesia Eric in and quickly go’s back to Bill after that whole debacle is over I will be disappointed. Bill is really someone who she shouldn’t trust, Sookie should follow her instincts!!! I’m rooting for Eric.
Go Team!
My first post here
Hi!
and their theme song in the bg
that made it so perfect. I wish to hear the full track of it if there is one, the music fits them.
I believe Eric has a plan when he talked with Bill about what Sookie is, how her blood made Bill walk under the sun only for a moment, this got Eric’s attention. Judging from the next episode we see Russell biting Sookie!! (he’s the one who’s feeding of her if I’m correct) and Eric is teaming up with him to get her. So the plan could be by telling Russell that you can walk under the sun by drinking Sookie’s blood!
So the plan could be killing Russell under the sun. The ultimate vampire dream. I could be on the right track ^^ lol
Why is it there’s only 12 episodes/season and we have to wait next year for season 4 for them to film it. so vexing!
And yes they finally kissed
Season 4 is the start of their relationship and yes if they broke up when he gets his memory back and lost his time with Sookie I’ll be so angry!!! However Alan Ball has a great way to twist things around. Let’s hope he can feel what our frustration is on Eric and Sookie if they broke up just like that!!!
My first look on Sookie and Eric from the first time they met XD I said “AH! They’re perfect together!” and from season 2 they’re relationship began to grow. I have not read the books so I didn’t know what will become of them but I WAS RIGHT. When reading the summaries of the books(lol) and just see how they’re around each other, Eric and Sookie belongs together. period.
Yes, I am looking forward to season 4 but with much trepidation as well as anticipation. I know the writers will find ways to screw up what should be the year of Eric and Sookie.
New here, just wanted to say I agree with you….I already feel some dissapointment. Seems like everytime I get excited over some nice interaction between Eric and Sookie its gone as quick as it came!!! I’ve read the books and I’m praying for some Eric Sookie action in the show, please!!!!! “the year of Eric” I love it…..lets hope AB gives us what we want!
