Ah yes the issue that all Eric fangirls have to face… the idea that some bizarre and emotionally disturbed people think Bill Compton and Sookie belong together when clearly Eric Northman is King… of True Blood and of Sookie Stackhouse’s heart. When you remind them that Eric does in fact have more fans and that perhaps Alan Ball and HBO should remember this fact, you get arguments. Ha!
Exhibit A - A TV Guide poll with over 14,000 votes:
Hmmm… Eric be kicking Billie Boy’s butt by over 30 percentage points.
Exhibit B – Facebook Fans for Bill and Eric:
Wow! the top page for Eric is 183 thousand fans strong! For Bill? 42,000.
This is just a sampling in two different places online that clearly shows that Eric is favored by a very wide margin. This also confirms what we have long suspected because every major news and entertainment site focuses on Eric after every episode. Stephen Moyer does some groundbreaking acting as Bill during an episode and all we hear about the next day is the blue sweater that “Eric” wore. They are playing to the majority people!
There is no contest. Eric is King.
