The Evolution of Eric Northman’s Hair

Season 1: The hair closest to the book series, long and blond:

Season 2: My personal favorite, blond but much shorter. The show explained the cut by introducing a scene where Eric gets blood in his hair while it is being highlighted by Pam. The blood apparently would not come out and thus the cut. A++

Season 3: Appears to be darker (almost ash blond/brown), perhaps a bit shorter, and kinda slicked back. Verdict still out but Eric is always yummy no? The clothes get an A++ in the sexy department though!

What does matter IMO is that vampire hair will grow back in a matter of hours to its final human length if cut. Don’t you remember Bill telling Sookie that he thanks his lucky stars that IF he had to become a vampire, at least he was made shortly after receiving a fresh haircut and shave?
If you’re willing to kill off that part of the mythology, what’s next? Vampires eating Chicken McNuggets?
Eric was a Norse king when he was made vampire by Godric. He is supposed to have long hair. When it comes to hairstyles, he is just as stuck in the dark ages as Bill is with his Civil War sideburns. Poor Jessica wishes her vampire regeneration problem was something as benign as growing hair.
I just love the books and the perfect way CH describes Eric, with his long blond hair and all. So I wanted the hair he had in season 1 to come back, but I think he looks great in both of them.
I love the short hair on Alex/Eric, but you are right that in the books his hair is long and it doesn’t really matter anyway. The character still resembles the book Eric in every other way, and isn’t that what really matters anyway.
I long for the hair to return:(
I do like the long hair on Eric, but short hair suits him just fine..deliciously divine in fact. …so, yea..i prefer the short hair, which is odd for me since i favor long hair on men…. Honestly though; Skarsgard would look fine in a paper sack! ..That man is just sinfully beautiful!
This guy is not well cast. He cannot fill the role of Eric.
Ehm, read the books? There could be no better choice. His description and alex skårsgard fit perfectly.
could not disagree with you more or agree with dani more, he so fits he is jus as the books describe eric, well without the long hair but still alex is so freaking hot
I so like his hair slicked back so we can see that sexy face of his

Well, usualy I like it more if the hair is long but I need to say that its suits him really the best in season 2 with the shorter hair.
